Flora Europaea perennial, H xeric to mesoxeric steppe and forest-steppe species and rare in the nemoral belt (here only on calciphyle rocky substrata) continental western Eurasian Festucion valesiacae R34 habitats         A typical species for well preserved xeric and mesoxeric steppe grasslands, very sensitive to degradation through overgrazing.
